1. Information We Collect

SignalVet collects minimal data necessary to provide the service. We use the following third-party services:

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — Anonymous usage analytics and crash reports to improve app stability and performance. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Firebase Authentication — Anonymous authentication to manage user sessions. No email, name, or personal data is required.
RevenueCat — Subscription management processed through Apple's App Store. We do not access or store payment details.

2. Diagnostic Image Processing

When you upload radiographic images, ultrasound scans, or other diagnostic media for AI analysis:

Images are transmitted securely to Google's Gemini AI via Firebase AI for processing.
Images are processed in real-time and are not stored on our servers after the analysis session concludes.
You should not include patient-identifying information (patient names, owner details, clinic information) in uploaded images or text prompts.
Google's data processing policies apply to content sent to Gemini AI. Please review Google's AI privacy terms.

3. Conversation History

Consultation conversations and AI responses are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it. You can delete all local data at any time through Settings > Clear All History.

4. AI-Generated Content

All analyses, reports, and recommendations generated by SignalVet are produced by artificial intelligence and are intended as supplementary references for licensed veterinary professionals. AI outputs:

Are probabilistic and may contain inaccuracies
Must not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions
Require independent professional verification

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized API access
On-device encryption through iOS Data Protection for locally stored data

6. Your Rights

Under applicable privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD), you have the right to:

Access — Request information about data associated with your account
Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data through Settings > Delete Account & Data
Portability — Export your conversation history via the share function
Opt-out — Disable analytics through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics

7. Children's Privacy

SignalVet is designed for licensed veterinary professionals and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of SignalVet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
