Terms of Use
Terms governing the use of SignalVet AI Radiology Assistant
Last updated: March 10, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using SignalVet ("the App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
2. Intended Use & Users
SignalVet is designed exclusively for:
- Licensed veterinary professionals (DVMs, VMDs)
- Veterinary technicians and nurses
- Qualified veterinary students in clinical training
Use by pet owners, animal guardians, or unlicensed individuals for self-diagnosis or treatment of animals is expressly prohibited.
3. Medical Disclaimer — Critical
SignalVet is NOT a medical device, diagnostic instrument, or clinical decision-making system.
- All AI-generated radiology reports, imaging analyses, differential diagnoses, and clinical recommendations are probabilistic outputs produced by artificial intelligence.
- The Immediate Report feature screens for up to 63 pathologies across 5 body regions. This screening is not exhaustive — pathologies outside the predefined panel will not be detected.
- AI image analysis (radiographs, ultrasound, CT, MRI, dental, cytology, dermatologic) does not replace board-certified radiologist interpretation.
- Lab report OCR and bloodwork analysis may contain transcription errors — always verify against original reports.
- Specialist consultation responses (cardiology, neurology, oncology, etc.) represent AI-generated guidance, not specialist referral opinions.
- Drug reference information, including dosage ranges, requires independent verification. Patient-specific dosing must be determined by the attending veterinarian.
- Emergency triage classifications are advisory — when in doubt, proceed directly to an emergency veterinary facility.
You must independently verify all AI-generated content against authoritative clinical sources and apply your own professional judgment before taking any clinical action.
4. Uploaded Content
By uploading diagnostic images, PDF reports, or other content:
- You represent that you have the right to share this content for AI analysis purposes.
- You agree not to include patient-identifying information (patient names, owner details, clinic identifiers).
- Uploaded content is processed in real-time by Google Gemini AI and is not stored on our servers after the session.
- You retain all rights to your original content. We claim no ownership of uploaded materials.
5. Limitation of Liability
SignalVet and its developers, officers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for:
- Any clinical decisions, treatment outcomes, or patient harm resulting from the use or misuse of AI-generated content
- Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading AI outputs
- Failure to detect pathologies, abnormalities, or clinical conditions
- Data loss, service interruptions, or technical failures
Users bear full professional responsibility for all clinical actions taken based on information obtained through SignalVet.
6. Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions are managed exclusively through Apple's App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.
- Refund requests must be directed to Apple — we cannot process refunds directly.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, AI system prompts, diagnostic protocols, and technology within SignalVet are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works without written permission.
8. Account Termination
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through Settings > Delete Account & Data. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
